I am currently on the Board as the Corresponding Secretary for the National Christ Child Society. This is the first time I have served on the National Board. I began my term in October 2008.  I am a founding member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Christ Child Society.  Our chapter was started in 1992, and chartered in 1994. I have served as Membership Chair, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, President 1999 - 2001, and for the last several years as a Director.  I have also chaired our annual Red Wagon Luncheon and have been chair of invitations & reservations for the past 5 years.

I have been active in CCD in parishes in Ohio, Texas, and New Jersey. Since 2001 I have been involved with a building project for our current parish, and in mid October 2009 our Bishop will dedicate our new church building.

I am married to Frederick (Fred) O'Brien, have two married sons and 2 grandchildren and one on the way. I love to garden, read mystery novels with female protagonists and walks on the beach.  I am a Pilates devotee and am studying French.
