Goals and Objectives

“It is the personal element that brings true charity to life.”
Mary Virginia Merrick
Relationships between Christ Child Society volunteers, mothers and children form the heart of the Challenging Poverty initiative through tutoring, mentoring and parent support and education programs.

Responding to the words of our founder the National Christ Child Society launched this long-overdue initiative, significantly expanding the scope and impact of services provided to children and families at-risk by Christ Child Society Chapters.
Leveraging the hard-won trust that Chapters have earned in communities throughout America, enables members to provide comfort and information to struggling parents who lack social support, access to resources and education needed to assist them in child raising.
A range of user-friendly parenting educational materials, assistance with social service referrals, as well as mentoring relationships between our members and mothers in need, are all components of Challenging Poverty: One Child At A Time.
The National Board and Office are currently working with NCCS Chapters by providing the spiritual and practical guidance to implement, evaluate and improve outreach initiatives for families in need on an ongoing basis. Please join the National Christ Child Society in helping to implement Challenging
