Remember in this sacrifice of Your own and only Child
all Children everywhere throughout the world, and grant that,
like Your Son, as they increase in years, they may grow
in grace and wisdom before You, and in the sight of all,
for the improvement and saving of the world.

Jesus, the Friend of little children,
bless the little children of the whole world.

Christ Child Window

The Christ Child is the focal point in this window installed in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. In 1966, the National Christ Child Society placed the window at the Shrine in honor of Mary Virginia Merrick, founder of the Society, upon the 100th anniversary of her birth.
