Chapter Expansion and Formation

CHRIST CHILD SOCIETY CHAPTER FORMATION

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Establishing a Chapter In*Formation of the National Christ Child Society (NCCS) requires time, talent and treasure by the forming membership.  Providing opportunities for volunteers in your area to ‘give back’ in the name of the Christ Child by serving at-risk children is the primary purpose of Christ Child Society Chapter leadership.

How Much Volunteer Time is Required?

Each Chapter schedules regular meetings, develops programs and fundraising events selected and voted by the board and membership.  Requirements for membership and establishment of varying programs are planned to establish flexibility to meet member’s needs and schedules while addressing specific needs in the community.

What is the Membership Cost?

The Chapter establishes their own dues structure with a minimum of $55 annually.  Each member is part of a national outreach effort and the Chapter is responsible for National Dues and Support on an annual basis.

Who Selects the Programs?

Programs are selected by the needs in your community based on the National Christ Child Society Challenging Poverty: One Child At A Time initiative.  The step-by-step manual provides information and criteria for program development and evaluation.  Funding for the programs comes from fundraising events voted on held by the local Chapter.

Where Do We Get Assistance?

On-going contact with the National Board and Staff will guide potential Chapter leaders in each step of the process to establish a viable chapter of the Christ Child Society.  Policies and Procedures are outlined in the NCCS Operating Manual and Guidelines (OMG).  In addition the NCCS Website provides a ‘members section’ with detailed information and forms to further assist with the In*Formation, Provisional and Chartered process for Chapters.
